Fighting the consequences of subluxation

The goal of chiropractic care is to slow down, and in some cases to stop, the process of vertebral degeneration that is caused by subluxations.

This process first causes loss of mobility in the spine, which then triggers a process of bone degeneration that is similar to the one provoked by aging. In other words, subluxations are responsible for premature aging of your spine.

Whatever the cause of the degenerative process (aging or subluxations), seeing your doctor of chiropractic will help rejuvenate your spine.

Possible Consequences of an Untreated Subluxation

Normal Cervical SpinePhase2Phase3Phase4
  • Premature aging of the spine.
  • Worsening spinal degeneration, accompanied by recurring symptoms that are increasingly serious and frequent.
  • Increasing spinal deviation.
  • Gradual loss of mobility in the spine as its deformation increases.
  • Musculo-skeletal deterioration, potentially causing various symptoms.
  • Malfunction of the peripheral nervous system, potentially leading to sensitive and motor disturbances.
  • Possible organic repercussions (see diagram about the relationship between the nervous system and organs on the following page).

NB: Pain is not a reliable alarm system as it often appears later.
